GUIDE BOOK FINISHED?

Well, it seems to have been finished at last. I have about 56,000 words of The Guide Book on my computer which I need to save to disc. I found being online for the last week rewrite while Leena was away in S America very handy as I could update and check on things there and then, rather than going back and forth to library as I am doing now. New Sony Vaio computer very good but I am having problems downloading onto old Advent here in Littlehampton - complicates life living in two places. Will take care of that next week.
Anyway it is printed up and ready to go now. All I have to do is sell the thing - o rpay for it. If necessary I will pay for it to be printed and sell but it would be nice if someone else had faith in it. Having said that it is finished, I almost immediately thought of somehting else to put in. There is a section on Sex Life of Sheep, an old jaw droppper favourite, but a bit on sex life of horses might be fun and would grant a bit more space to Ireland which is marginal at the moment. I do not have the day to day stuff about Ireland that I have about the UK (house prices, salaries, etc) so it is good to have something other than bloodshed and sectarianism when discussing Ireland. At least I have avoided the phrase 'British Isles', which many Irish hate, but refer instead to 'Britain and Ireland' as our tour company does. Watch this space.
Got a guiding job next week as well! London and Windsor, which I have not been to for ages. Won't tell them that, though...
