BRITISH ISLES STUDY PROGRAMME

It was not quite a deathbed wish but Jim Lindsay did ask me to take over his creation BISP (British Isles Study Programme) before he died. I have procrastinated (been writing books as well as a blog) but hve decided to set up a course next winter. It will probably take the form of a one week fairly intensive study programme followed by a one week training tour. I hope to keep the cost to about £500 which is reasonable considering that you have to pay around £5000 these days to become a blue badge guide in London - course and exam fees plus books. I wonder how many London BBGs earn that back but I am sure those doing a BISP course will make it back - probably in one tour with a few decent excursions and tips. Remains to be seen if there is enough interest. Watch this space...
